Schonstedt’s XT512 is a highly accurate locator excellent for tracking non-metallic pipes and locating obstructions. it is portable, hoster-able, highly accurate, and designed for easy one handed operation. In addition it can also operate in passive mode for detection of 50/60 Hz power lines.

It is capable of measuring to depths up to 8′, depending upon the output power of the transmitter. The XT512 features an LCD signal strength display in addition to an audio output, and a total runtime of about 18 hours of intermittent use from a single 9V battery.
